General Meeting This Thursday 3/5 at the Boston AMVETS Post 219

The AMVETS Post is on the trail at the corner of RT 391 and Fowlerville..Ride In!!

The Boston Trail System is OPEN!!!

Please ride carefully, None of our trails have been groomed since the warm so watch for ICE.

We have had a number of disrepectful riders this year, and most recently had a couple of people almost run into our groomer while we were clearing brush back on the trail leading to Zoar Valley. Remember that the groomer operators and club members put in alot of time as volunteers, to make your experiences on our trail system enjoyable. Please give the groomers the right of way (it's the law), and slow down when you approach them, or anyone working on a trail.

As we start to get temperatures above freezing this week, please try to minimize your riding during the warmest times of the day. We will not be out grooming as much during the warmer days, but plan to groom as temperatures drop at night.

We have one major area of concern, In trail C4E at Boston Colden road, the Large Ravine is very ICY...If you are an in experienced rider, you might want to think about an alternative route. Studs make the climb much easier, you should still be vary cautious in that area.

We are working to remedy this issue, however if you are traveling south on C4E from Colden's trails an alternative route would be to turn off at the gas station, and pick up trail S42A and take it to trail C4, and then use trail S46 to cut back of to trail C4E. The inverse can be done when traveling north from Springville.

Further information is available on the Trails & Conditions page.
